AEC Announces New Board of Directors Members

 

(April 22, 2015; Wauconda, Illinois) -- The results of the annual election of officers and directors of the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) were announced at the 66th Annual Meeting & Leadership Conference on March 6, 2015 in Palm Desert, California.

Martin Bidwell, CEO of Magnode Corporation in Trenton, Ohio, was elected to serve a one-year term as Chairman of the Aluminum Extruders Council. Rick Merluzzi, CEO of Pennex Aluminum Company in Wellsville, Pennsylvania, was elected as Immediate Past Chairman. Rand Baldwin was re-elected to the non-voting position as President of the Council. Matt McMahon, President of Pries Enterprises Inc. in Independence, Iowa will remain on the Board as Vice Chairman for one year.

Three new members of the Board were elected. Shayne Seever, Vice President, Administration of Sierra Aluminum in Riverside, California, was newly elected as an Extruder Director. Bonnie Cartwright, President of EXCO Extrusion Tooling Solutions in Markham, Ontario, Canada, was newly elected as Supplier Director and Eric Pitz, Product Director - Billets North America for Rio Tinto Alcan in Mayfield Heights, Ohio was elected as an At-large Member of the Board of Directors.

Re-elected as Extruder Directors were R. Scott Kelly, President and CEO of Service Center Metals in Prince George, Virginia, and Scott Condreay, Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Sapa Extrusions North America in Portland, Oregon. Re-elected as Producer Director was Tom Leary, Marketing Director for Alcoa Primary Metals in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Those remaining on the Board include Extruder Directors Spencer Burt, HR Manager for Futura Industries in Clearfield, Utah; Charles McEvoy, Executive Vice President of Western Extrusions Corp. in Dallas, Texas; and Mike Flynn, President of APEL Extrusions Limited in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
